What to Check First

  1. Cooling/Drying Light.
  2. Blinking Error Codes.
  3. Inside the Dryer Remove lint from the lint tray between each load.
  4. Clean the lint tray with warm water and a soft brush, then allow to dry before reinstalling.
  5. Reduce the load size to allow air to pass through from back to front.
  6. Behind the Dryer Check that the exhaust hose between the dryer and the wall is not crushed, dented, kinked, or compressed.
  7. Verify it is not coiled circle over circle like a spring. It can be an S-Curve like the attached photo.
  8. Confirm there are no holes in the exhause hose and no loose connections.
  9. Verify that whatever duct type you use (Rigid, Semi-Rigid, or Flexible) is not crushed or kinked.
  10. Outside of the Home Locate the exhaust outlet on the outside of your home. This may have flappers, a cage, or mesh to block animals or debris from entering.
