What to Check First
- Buttons may not respond: In [AI] / [Auto] mode, operation is automatically controlled based on air quality. The [Speed], [Booster Speed], and [Swing] buttons will not respond.
- Operation delay: When the air quality improves from red/orange to green/blue (Moderate/Good), the Clean Booster will stop rotating and lower automatically after about 5 minutes.
- [AI(Smart)] / [Auto] mode: The Clean Booster operates automatically based on the overall air quality. When the air quality improves, it may stop rotating or blowing air.
- [Clean Booster Mode]: You can manually control the rotation using the remote control or the buttons on the unit.
- If the Clean Booster on your LG PuriCare™ 360 air purifier is not rotating, this is usually normal. When the operation mode is set to [AI(Smart)] / [Auto], the Clean Booster only rotates automatically when the air quality is Very Poor (red). To check if it is working properly, switch the mode to [Clean Booster Mode].
- The Clean Booster operates differently depending on the selected mode.
- Follow the steps below to check if this is due to a simple mode setting or a device issue.
- Check the display to see if the current mode is set to [AI(Smart)] or [Auto].
- Press the mode button to switch to [Clean Booster Mode]. (Alpha models: [AI(Smart)] → [Clean Booster] / Standard models: [Auto] → [Clean Booster]).
- For Alpha models, press the [Booster Speed] button. For PuriCare™ 360 models, press the [Swing] button.
Why This Can Happen
Symptoms can have more than one cause, and the correct steps depend on the exact model, installation and operating conditions. Use the checks above to narrow the issue before service.
