What to Check First

  1. Manual Firmware Update.
  2. A USB flash drive or writable/re-writable CD/DVD with at least the size of the firmware update of available storage(check the file size on your product support page).
  3. A Computer with Internet access.
  4. A CD/DVD burner if using that method.
  5. Locate the Product Support Page for your device by entering the model number into the lg.com search field(near the top-right).
  6. Download the latest firmware file from the Software Update section of the support page.
  7. Unzip the downloaded firmware file: Open the Downloads folder on your PC.
  8. Right-click on the firmware file.
  9. Choose Extract all... or Extract here on some operating systems.
  10. Open the USB drive or CD/DVD folder to the root directory. When you insert the media, click on either Burn files to disc for CD/DVD or Open folder to view files for USB. Note: If using CD/DVD , choose With a CD/DVD player when asked how you want to use the disc. Do Not Choose Like a USB flash drive !
