What to Check First
- Operating [Condenser Care] after using cycles without drying such as [Air Dry], helps to wash the dust off better.
- Before using [Condenser Care], make sure to check how much dust has collected in the filter and if necessary, clean the filter.
- Please note that this feature is not supported on gas dryers and electric dryers. Make sure to check the type of dryer you are using.
- Are you keeping the condenser inside the dryer clean? Do you want to learn how to use the [Condenser Care] function?
- The condenser is a component of the dryer that changes hot, moist air from the wet laundry into dry air. Small dusts not filtered out by the filter can enter the condenser with the air and adhere to the condenser. For this reason, LG Electronics’ dryers have an integrated auto condenser cleaning feature which automatically runs every time a drying cycle is used. If you would like to clean the condenser additionally, then operate the [Condenser Care] function.
- ➔ Each time a drying cycle is operated, LG Electronics’ dryers automatically wash the condenser before drying is completed. In addition, the condenser is automatically washed at every 30th time of dryer use, so you can use your dryer more conveniently.
- 1. After taking out all the laundry, take out the water bucket from the dryer and check if it is empty.
- 2. Slowly pour 1ℓ of water into the water container compartment while making s ure it does not overflow. Note that once the recommended amount of water is filled, a notification sound will go off once.
- 3. Insert the water bucket back into place.
- ※ If your dryer is stacked on top of a washer, then instead of the water bucket, take out the lint filter from the inside of the dryer and pour water into the filter inlet. After that, put the lint filter back into place.
